Young Black and Deadly is a renowned artistic, media, and career development program run by Gadigal Information Service Aboriginal Corporation in Redfern Sydney NSW.

The program empowers local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth through intensive workshops in music production, filmmaking, radio broadcasting, and comedy writing and performance on the traditional lands of the Gadigal people, the initiative operates alongside Koori Radio 93.7FM, the Yabun Festival and the Kameygal Music Studio

It gives Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth a platform to find their voice, build creative skills, and share their stories.

Key aspects of the initiative include:

• Music & Media workshops: Intensive training where interns write, record, and shoot music videos—resulting in projects like the "Don't Kill the Vibe"compilation.

• Live Performances: Showcasing emerging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander talent at prominent events and festivals, such as the Yabun Festival and Klub Koori.

• Community Connection: Fostering a supportive environment that celebrates cultural resilience and identity.

Participants often go on to work within the broader Australian music, radio, and arts industries. The program operates out of the Kameygal Recording and Rehearsal Studio at Gadigal Information Service, Redfern, Sydney NSW.
